ELLENSBURG, Wash.–Aaron Dollarhide, 39, was sentenced to 180 months in prison on a count of receipt of child pornography, with five years of supervised release, which follows another conviction from 10 years earlier for a similar offence.
A search warrant allowed officers and security agents to search Dollarhide’s home and seize his phone in 2022, according to U.S. Attorney’s Office news release. Upon reviewing his phone, investigation agents and officers found he downloaded a folder containing child sexual abuse material and 687 more videos of children.
In 2012, he was sentenced to prison for a second degree child molestation conviction in the Yakima County Superior Court, according to the release.
“Today’s sentence reflects our commitment to protecting the most vulnerable members of our community and holding individuals accountable for exploiting children,” said Acting United States Attorney Richard Barker. “Dollarhide’s actions… demonstrate a disturbing disregard for the safety and well-being of children. Our office will continue to pursue and prosecute those who exploit children, and we will work tirelessly to ensure that those who do harm young children will face the full consequences of their actions.”
