Dallas Road Roundabouts Project resumes in Richland

Construction on the Dallas Road Roundabouts Project is set to resume on Tuesday, August 19.

The city said in a release that contractor, GAME, Inc. notified the city that the project is no longer on hold.

Trowbridge Boulevard will close at its intersection with Dallas Road. Eastbound and westbound traffic will be detoured via Gateway Avenue.

A lane shift at Ava Way and Dallas Road will also be in effect.

The Trowbridge Boulevard closure is expected to last about three weeks.

The project was on hold due to a strike by the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local 302.

Details regarding negotiations have not been announced.

RICHLAND, Wash. – Construction on the Dallas Road Roundabouts Project in Richland has been put on hold due to a labor dispute, the city said in a release.

The city announced that all work has paused, leaving the intersections at Ava Way and Trowbridge Boulevard open to traffic.

Currently, there is no confirmed timeline for when construction will resume.

The work could restart as soon as tomorrow or face further delays, depending on the outcome of labor negotiations, the release added.
