YAKIMA, Wash. – D Street between 5th Avenue and 6th Avenue will be closed to through traffic on Mon., April 7 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for stormwater system improvements, according to the City of Yakima.
Detours will guide drivers around the area via 6th Avenue, 3rd Avenue, Lincoln Avenue and Cherry Avenue.
Drivers are advised to slow down in the work zone, watch for workers and follow the posted speed limit.
Access to homes and businesses will be maintained as much as possible. Emergency vehicles can access the area from 6th Avenue if needed.
The City says the project schedule may change due to weather, equipment issues, or emergencies.
