
Olympia, Wash. – The Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) is set to approve new bachelor’s degrees at Columbia Basin College during its business meeting on Thursday, April 10.
According to SBCTC, the degrees include a Bachelor of Applied Science in Respiratory Therapy and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Columbia Basin College, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Whatcom Community College.
Additionally, the board will discuss updates on the 2025 legislative session and address emerging federal issues.
Ahead of the meeting, a study session is planned for Wednesday, April 9. During this session, board members will receive updates from the presidents’ association on potential changes to the community and technical college system’s allocation model and capital project prioritization, SBCTC said in a release.
Both the study session and business meeting will take place at the State Board office in Olympia and will be streamed live on TVW. The events are open to the public, with further details available on the State Board website.
