PASCO, Wash. – Columbia Basin College (CBC) and Eastern Washington University (EWU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding today to expand four-year degree opportunities for students in the Mid-Columbia region, according to a CBC release.

The agreement, signed at CBC’s Pasco campus, focuses on the Destination Eastern Program (DEWU) to provide students who start their education at CBC with a smoother path to baccalaureate degrees.

“This partnership is about reducing barriers to ensure students have the support they need to pursue their educational and career goals,” CBC President Dr. Rebekah Woods said.

EWU President Dr. Shari McMahan emphasized the role of community colleges, stating, “EWU is proud to partner with our two-year institutions to provide students a positive path to baccalaureate success.”

As part of the agreement, EWU will waive the $60 undergraduate application fee for eligible DEWU students.
