YAKIMA, Wash.- Yakima City Council looks for volunteers to serve on boards committees and commissions for the City of Yakima.
Several volunteer opportunities are currently open or opening in the near future. They include:
The Arts Commission has two agency representative positions and one community representative at the Larson Gallery and SeasonsOne Agency position currently open at the Capitol Theatre and one community representative position opening Jun. 30, 2025The Community integration Community committee has three non-youth and one youth vacancies open. The Henry Beauchamp Community Center will have one position opening Jun. 30, 2025. The Parks and Recreation Commission has one vacancy now and one more opening Jun. 30, 2025. The Public Facilities District Board will have two positions opening Jun. 30, 2025. The Sustainable Yakima Committee has three non-youth openings. The Tree City USA Board has one vacancy currently and will have two opening Jun. 30, 2025.
Some positions will require an application or resume to be submitted. Anyone interested can bring an application to the City Clerk’s Office by the end of the business day on Apr. 18, 2025.
