
YAKIMA, Wash. – The City of Yakima announced that most of its buildings and facilities will be closed on Monday, May 26, for Memorial Day.
This includes City Hall, Y-PAC, Public Works and Parks and Recreation offices.
While the business offices for the police and fire departments will be closed, emergency services will remain available. Yakima Municipal Court will also not operate on this holiday.
Yakima Transit will not offer bus services on Monday. Additionally, the Harman Center will be closed on both Saturday, May 24, and Monday, May 26.
Garbage pick-up services will be affected, with no collection on Monday. The City’s Refuse Division will delay garbage and yard waste collection by one day next week. Residents are reminded to set out their carts by 6 a.m. for timely service.
