
PASCO, Wash. – The City of Pasco is celebrating Arbor Day with an event at Volunteer Park featuring a ceremonial tree planting and the unveiling of the Volunteer Park Tree Walk.
Pasco is a Tree City USA community, as set by the Arbor Day Foundation, which honors the city’s dedication to environmentalism and urban tree care.
The new Tree Walk offers a self-guided tour of the variety of tree species growing throughout the park. Audio descriptions provided by students of Pasco and Chiawana high schools, in English and Spanish, will provide learning opportunities for those taking the walk.
The event and unveiling take place on Fri., April 25 at 10 a.m. 100 attendees will get small trees donated by McCurley Subaru.
