YAKIMA, Wash. – A civil sexual assault lawsuit that began in Yakima County Superior Court just over a year ago involving a former Granger Police officer is now settled as of May 22.
The lawsuit was filed May 17, 2024 after a woman alleged that former GPD Officer Glen Trejo sexually assaulted her while on duty over the course of a year.
The suit also alleged that some City of Granger officials and employees attempted to cover up the assault allegations, leading to both the City and GPD being named as defendants.
According to the woman’s lead attorney at Larson, Griffee & Pickett, PLLC, the City and GPD agreed to settle the claims for $700,000.
Trejo is no longer an officer with the City, per a release.
