BENTON COUNTY, Wash. – A Benton County judge has sentenced Alexander Callahan to 19 years and eight months for raping a child.
Callahan, 36, pleaded guilty March 25, 2025 to two counts of rape of a child and one count of child molestation.
Court records say the sexual abuse occurred while the child was between the ages of five and eight from May 2011 to March 2014.
Callahan was arrested in March 2014 for these crimes but fled to Mexico, remaining at large for nine years. He was arrested in Mexico on December 11, 2023, and returned to Benton County to face charges.
In addition to his prison sentence, Callahan will serve a lifetime of community custody. A no-contact order has been established to protect the victim.
