KENNEWICK, Wash. – Tri-Cities is buzzing with excitement as the first Chick-fil-A in the region opens Thursday, June 19 at 7009 W. Canal Drive.
With the opening, the Kennewick Police Department (KPD) is expecting significant traffic impacts.
The city and Chick-fil-A have worked together on a traffic plan and map to minimize disruptions and reduce the impact on surrounding businesses.
The entrances on Crosswind Blvd. marked with red/white “X” logos are for accessing other businesses, not Chick-fil-A. Drivers should adhere to the traffic flow map to access the restaurant, KPD said.
KPD said it will have extra officers present to assist with traffic flow. Drivers are advised to follow officers’ signals.
