Grammy-winning singer Chappell Roan left her talent agency, Wasserman, after the Department of Justice released copies of flirty emails between Casey Wasserman and convicted child sex-trafficker Ghillaine Maxwell.

“I hold my teams to the highest standards and have a duty to protect them as well. No arist, agent or employee should ever be expected to defend or overlook actions that conflict so deeply with our own moral values,” Roan wrote in a social media story announcing her decision.

Wasserman is the founder of CEO of the company bearing his name, which does talent management and sports marketing. He is also the chairman of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

Emails between Wasserman and Maxwell date back to 2003, when Maxwell wrote that she had been thinking of him “at inappropriate moment.” He responded, “I think of you all the time… So what do I have to do to se you in a tight leather outfit?”

Later emails that from the same year contain similar flirtatious messages between the two.

Other artists affiliated with Wasserman have called for his resignation, including Chelasea Culter, Bethany Cosentino of Best Coast, and Beach Bunny.
