YAKIMA, Wash. – Flat bike tire on the Yakima Greenway? No longer. The Southwest Rotary of Yakima installed four new bicycle repair stations along the Greenway.

The stations include a manual air pump, and a variety of tools including tire levers, wrenches, and screwdrivers. A press release from the Southwest Rotary of Yakima said that each station is tamper-resistant and equipped with replacement parts.

“The cycling community is growing in Yakima, and we see everyone from toddlers learning to ride to avid racers using the Greenway,” organization president Matt Reed said. “Southwest Rotary of Yakima wanted to give back in a way that would make their lives a little easier and safer.”

The stations are located at Sarge Hubbard Park, Suntides Greenway parking area, the parking lot off Orchard Rite Road and the small park near the entrance of Naches.

A fifth station is also under construction, which will be located at the 16th Avenue Greenway.
