Benton County to hold press conference om domestic violence deaths, Prosser Memorial grieves loss

Benton County Sheriff’s Office (BSCO) announced Interim Sheriff Mike Clark and Prosecuting Attorney Eric Eisinger will hold a press conference on the investigation Tuesday morning on 11:30 a.m.

Meantime, Prosser Memorial Health has issued a statement in response to one of the victims whose name has not been released by police yet:

This colleague was more than just a skilled professional; they were a cherished member of our family, admired for their dedication, kindness, and the compassion they showed to patients and coworkers alike. Their presence brought warmth and comfort to those around them, and their absence will be profoundly felt.

Our hearts go out to their loved ones, friends, and all who are mourning during this difficult time. We stand together as a community, offering support and care to one another as we navigate this tragedy.

PROSSER, Wash. – The Benton County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) is investigating a domestic violence incident that left two individuals dead on Saturday evening, according to a press release from BCSO.

Deputies responded at approximately 5:34 p.m. on November 15, 2025, to reports of a vehicle collision near N Rothrock Rd and W Evans Rd north of Prosser. A caller reported hearing a verbal fight followed by gunfire.

Upon arrival, deputies and emergency personnel found two individuals deceased at the scene. Preliminary findings indicate the individuals were known to each other, and the event stemmed from a domestic dispute.

The Benton County Sheriff’s Office confirmed there is no ongoing public safety threat. The Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation.

“The identities of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of family members,” Interim Sheriff M. Clark said.

The Sheriff’s Office plans to release additional information in the coming days. They encourage anyone with information about the incident to contact non-emergency dispatch at 509-628-0333.
