KENNEWICK, Wash. – Benton County is set to launch a soft opening for its newly renovated Moderate Risk Waste Facility, allowing residents to dispose of Household Hazardous Waste.
The facility, located at 1709 S Ely St, will begin accepting waste by appointment only starting Wednesday, August 6 through Saturday, August 9, and again from Wednesday, August 13 to Saturday, August 16.
Operating hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. To schedule a drop-off time, residents should call 509-786-5611.
An official ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, August 19 at 2:00 p.m.
The facility will fully open to the public on August 20, with regular hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
