
BENTON COUNTY, Wash.–Homeowners saw an unknown man enter their home through security cameras while on vacation.
The man entered through a side door to the garage and opened a large door before backing his truck inside, according to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office. The homeowners had cameras inside the house and saw the man going in the house and use narcotics inside.
Deputies positioned their vehicles in front of the truck in case he tried to flee, according to BCSO. When the man left he house, deputies took him into custody.
Upon further investigation, deputies found the man was under the influence of narcotics and was in possession of suspected methamphetamine, according to BCSO. Other drug paraphernalia was found inside the home.
Household items were seen inside the suspect’s truck, which was seized pending a search warrant, according to BCSO. The man was booked into the Benton County Jail on burglary- and drug-related charges.
