BENTON CITY, Wash. – The Benton City Chamber of Commerce is hosting a free movie night on Friday, August 15th in conjunction with the city.

The event will be held at the City Park, which features a large stage and a newly purchased inflatable movie screen. The film, The Wild Robot, will begin it’s showing at dusk.

Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets, with concessions will also be available for purchase at the event.

Shara Morgan, President and Events Coordinator for Benton City Chamber of Commerce, says events like these are great at getting the community out and about.

“It’s just a fun time for everyone to get together as a community and unplug and spend time with your family,” said Morgan.

Benton City is located just outside of the Tri-Cities and is within viewing distance of both the Horse Heaven Hills and Rattlesnake Mountain. The town features multiple restaurants, wineries, parks, a disc golf course, pickleball courts and more.

Morgan also says there will be more events coming up in the next few months, including another Movie in the Park and Benton City Daze.

“We do a ton of community events throughout the year,” said Morgan. “We just want to get… not just Benton City involved… but communities from all around the area.”
