
A 37-year-old man faces multiple charges in connection with an officer involved shooting in Pasco.
On Monday afternoon, January 20, the suspect threatened a homeowner with a gun and demanded the victim’s keys before firing a shot, said a release by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s deputies and Pasco Police responding to the scene searched the area around the 3700 block of North Road 36 and located the alleged gunman.
Investigators said the suspect opened fire on the Pasco officers, who returned fire.
Regional SWAT officers were called in to assist. The suspect surrendered and was arrested without further incident, the release said.
The suspect was booked into the Franklin County Jail on multiple charges including assault, attempted robbery and attempted vehicle theft, the release added.
No one was hit by gunfire during the exchange with the victim or the officers.
