All Saints’ Episcopal Church opens winter warming center in Richland

RICHLAND, Wash. – The All Saints’ Episcopal Church is opening its parish hall as a temporary emergency warming shelter as temperatures reach dangerous lows.

The church says when the temperature is forecast to drop below 20 degrees Fahrenheit including wind chill and precipitation, it becomes open to up to 25 guests overnight from 5 p.m. to 9 a.m.

Guests are given a warm and safe place to sleep along with a hot dinner and breakfast. Due to grants and donations, the church is also able to provide security personnel, toiletries and other supplies.

The shelter will be available through the night of Fri., Jan. 31.
