
LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Actress Catherine O’Hara’s cause of death has been disclosed by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The office reported that O’Hara died from a pulmonary embolism, with rectal cancer as the underlying cause.
O’Hara, who was 71, was renowned for her performances in films such as “Home Alone” and “Beetlejuice,” as well as the television show “Schitt’s Creek.”
Her agency had previously stated that she passed away “at her home in Los Angeles… following a brief illness.”
