After a series of interviews and discussions during executive session, the city council has selected Abel Campos to fill the vacant “At-Large” role for council position #7.
Campos joins councilmembers Leo Perales, who recently won his re-election bid, Calixto Hernandez, winner of his November 4 election bid, Mayor David Milne, Blanche Barajas, Mayor Pro-Tem Charles Grimm and Councilmember Joe Cotta.
PASCO, Wash. – The Pasco City Council is set to interview finalists for Council Position No. 7 “At-Large” during a special meeting on Monday, November 8.
The meeting will also see the selection of the newly appointed councilmember and the oath of office. Newly re-elected Councilmember Perales will take the oath of office as well.
The position became available following the resignation of Peter Harpster. The new appointee will serve until the next general election, through mid-November 2027.
The council received 30 applications for the position and reviewed them during an executive session on December 1. The finalists are Charlie Grigg, Bradford Gregory, Patrick S Jones, Melissa Blasdel, Jerry Cochran and Abel Campos.
Monday’s special meeting at 4:30 p.m. will be open to the public.
