YAKIMA, Wash. – An 18-year-old woman shot in Yakima on Thursday is in critical condition, according to a social media post from the Yakima Police Department.
YPD said they responded to Multi-Care Memorial Hospital after being alerted of a shooting victim. The woman had arrived at the hospital in a private vehicle “with what appeared to be a gunshot wound.”
Her condition was listed as critical and she was transported to a Seattle-area hospital.
YPD said they identified the possible location of the shooting to be in the 300 block of North 4th Avenue.
An investigation is ongoing. No one has been taken into custody.
