VIDEO: Hanford Site crews demolish historic exhaust stack

HANFORD SITE, Wash. – Crews at the Hanford Site demolished a 175-foot-tall exhaust stack at the former K West Reactor.

The Department of Energy and Central Plateau Cleanup Company led the effort, marking a significant milestone in the ongoing cleanup process along the Columbia River, Hanford Site announced.

The demolition paves the way for the final reactor cocooning planned for the coming years.
