KENNEWICK, Wash. – An attached garage at the Bateman Apartments caught fire just after midnight on Thursday.
The Kennewick Fire Department said its crews made an aggressive attack to combat the flames from spreading to the rest of the building.
“Incidents like these in older commercial buildings present complex challenges, requiring coordinated efforts, quick decision-making, and strong situational awareness,” KFD said. “Thanks to the quick response of our crews and the attentiveness of citizens reporting the incident, tenants were able to safely re-enter their homes within just a few hours.”
