BICKLETON, Wash. – A 53-year-old man from Richland was found dead in a field near Naught Road on February 13 after he had been reported missing, according to the Klickitat County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO).
KCSO deputies responded to the scene following a report of an unoccupied vehicle found unlocked on Naught Road with personal items in the front seat. The reporting party also notified police that a body was discovered in a nearby field.
Multiple KCSO deputies, as well as a K9 unit, arrived and the area was secured before authorities began their investigation. The dead body was identified as Christopher Mullen, who had been reported missing earlier in the day by his parents in Richland.
Authorities found no signs of a struggle or crime. The Coroner’s office is conducting further investigations to determine the cause of death at this time. KCSO officials noted that the incident appears to be a medical episode.
