City of Richland looks to advance Cityview Drive project in Queensgate

RICHLAND, Wash. — The City of Richland Tuesday night may move forward with a construction project to improve Cityview Drive and Truman Avenue in the Queensgate area.

The project, part of the 2025-2030 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP), aims to transform existing gravel roadways into fully developed streets.

Construction will include installation of curbs, gutters, sidewalks, streetlights, and conduits for future fiber optics and power services.

Once completed, the improved roads will connect existing streets in the Cityview commercial area, enhancing access and allowing additional city-owned property to be marketed for development.

City council members will decide during their regularly scheduled meeting Tuesday night whether to approve a resolution that authorizes a construction contract with Big D’s Construction of Tri-Cities for $1,098,858.19.
