FRANKLIN COUNTY — This week, responders from Franklin County Fire District 3 teamed up with Franklin County Emergency Management for a vital training session.
According to Fire District 3, the training focused on enhancing readiness for radiological emergencies, including potential scenarios involving the Columbia Generating Station.
Responders worked on recognizing and assessing radiological hazards, using monitoring equipment properly, and coordinating with other agencies.
Strong partnerships and ongoing training are key to ensuring that responders can act quickly, safely and effectively in emergencies to protect the community.
