
TRI-CITIES, Wash. – Students from five high schools in the Tri-Cities are planning to walk out of school today to protest the Trump administration’s immigration policies and the deaths of two U.S. citizens in Minneapolis.
The walkouts will take place at different times and locations.
At Kamiakin High School, students will gather at 11:35 a.m. along Edison, between Clearwater and Metaline Avenue.
Southridge High School students will protest at 10:45 a.m. along Southridge Boulevard, between the crosswalks and Gesa Carousel of Dreams.
Kennewick High School students plan to walk out at 11:30 a.m. along Garfield Street, between Lampson Stadium and 1st Avenue.
Hanford High School students will start their protest at 10:20 a.m. and march along George Washington Way to John Dam Plaza.
Richland High School students will gather at 11:15 a.m. near the Thayer Drive bus stop and march to George Washington Way using Swift Boulevard.
