OLYMPIA, Wash. – The Northwest Seaport Alliance, along with the Ports of Benton, Pasco and Walla Walla, is expected to announce a historic agreement to develop an Inland Logistics Hub in the Tri-Cities.
This partnership will enhance international trade and expand cargo movement, creating family-wage jobs and strengthening the supply chain infrastructure in Washington state along with leveraging the Tri-Cities region’s strategic advantages.
These include available industrial-zoned land, access to Class I railroads and major highways with direct connections to coastal seaports and the Columbia-Snake River system.
Leaders from the involved ports are scheduled to hold a signing ceremony on Thursday, February 5, at 2:00 p.m. at the Washington Public Ports Association Office in Olympia.
