Alphabet Inc., the parent company of Google, has announced plans to significantly increase its spending on artificial intelligence (AI) projects this year. The company intends to invest up to $185 billion in 2026 as it continues to build data centers across the United States.
This marks a substantial increase from the $90 billion spent on AI projects last year. The decision to double its AI investment follows Alphabet’s achievement of surpassing $400 billion in annual revenue for the first time last year.
