PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. — Maryland officials have announced plans to construct a new entertainment venue similar to the Las Vegas Sphere at National Harbor. The proposed site overlooks the Potomac River and is approximately 15 minutes from Washington, D.C.
The new sphere would feature an exterior light display and seat approximately 6,000 people. This seating capacity is less than the Las Vegas Sphere, but it aims to offer a similar experience.
Before construction can begin, state lawmakers need to approve the project. If they do, the venue is projected to open by 2030.
