YAKIMA, Wash. – A fire broke out in a home on Englewood Hill Place in Yakima on Tuesday afternoon.
All of the home’s occupants were safely evacuated and no one was injured.
According to a social media post from the Yakima Fire Department, crews were able to mostly contain the fire to the garage with an “aggressive offensive attack.”
YFD also said the fire was in the “overhaul” stage as of 2:33 p.m., meaning flames are out and crews are searching for any additional hot spots or smoldering embers.
YFD asked the public to avoid the area while firefighters are on the scene.
