A rare collection of four Lionel Messi shirts worn during Argentina’s greatest triumphs is set to go under the hammer.
The one-lot sale by Budds Auctions unites shirts from each major final the legendary Argentina captain won and is estimated at between over $100,000 and over $150,000.
The shirts included are said to have featured in the 2021 Copa América against Brazil, the 2022 Finalissima versus Italy, the 2022 World Cup victory over France, and the 2024 Copa América final against Colombia.
Budds Auctions said: “All four shirts originate directly from the Argentina national team changing rooms and have been carefully sourced via a trusted AFA employee.”
David Convery of Budds Auctions says: “We are honoured to be entrusted with selling this legendary and prized collection of Lionel Messi Argentina final shirts.
“This single owner auction will offer many different collectors the opportunity to own an historic collection from one of the greatest players in football history.
“The auction takes place in the strongest sporting memorabilia market we’ve ever seen, with 2025 establishing a cascade of world records. The value of this collection will only continue to grow in value.”
The timed auction runs until February 1.
