WASHINGTON, D.C. – Brian Cole Jr., the man accused of planting pipe bombs in the nation’s capital on the eve of the January 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol, has pleaded not guilty.

Cole is facing federal charges after allegedly placing the bombs near the Democratic and Republican National Committee headquarters. His attorney argues that the alleged devices could never have exploded and describes Cole as a peaceful individual who follows a strict routine due to his diagnoses.

During interviews with the FBI, Cole told investigators that he believed the 2020 election was stolen.
