
YAKIMA, Wash. – Yakima Police are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian at the intersection of South 1st Street and South 6th on December 24.
Initial findings indicate the adult male ran into the road from the east. A vehicle traveling north in the lane closest to the curb struck him, police said in a release.
Investigators said the vehicle’s driver, a 50-year-old woman from Yakima, showed signs of alcohol impairment.
She was arrested on vehicular homicide charges and booked into the Yakima County Jail.
