Roads, parks continue to close in Yakima County due to flooding

YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash. – Several roads, parks and locations across Yakima County are facing closures due to dangerous flood conditions.

In Selah, the road to Playland Park, River Ridge and Elks Golf Course is closed due to full flooding of the park, roadway and parts of the golf courses. Selah Police urge residents to stay away.

In Wapato, the Donald Wapato Bridge and Donald Road are closed between East A Street and I-82 until further notice. Parker Bridge and Parker Bridge Road are also closed.

Detours to Wapato are available through Union Gap and Toppenish.

According to the Zillah Police Department, Exit 50 Buena Way between East McDonald and Fraley Road is closed as well for an extended period of time. Exit 52 Meyers Road going into Toppenish is open.
