PASCO, Wash.- Communities in Schools of Benton-Franklin is hosting Senior Family Night for high school seniors in collaboration with Columbia Basin College Friday, November 14. Senior Family Night provides the opportunity for graduating seniors to get hands-on support with financial aid, FAFSA/WAFSA, scholarships and college 101 workshops.
Communities in Schools works directly inside 31 schools in Richland, Pasco, Kennewick, Prosser and Finley School Districts.
“We walk alongside students to address any barriers that they have and also just making sure that we empower them throughout the school in the classrooms and beyond,” said Marketing and Communications Specialist, Rochelle De La Cruz.
FAFSA and other financial air applications can be intimidating for students and families but Communities in Schools is working to help high schoolers find success.
“We will be having workshops for the students and also their families,” said De La Cruz. “We will have a workshop specifically for the parents in Spanish and in English to help their students kind of like that transition into the postsecondary Education.”
You can register for the English session here. Registration for the Spanish sign-up is here.
Dinner is provided while supplies last, plus exciting giveaways and more!
