TRI-CITIES, Wash. – The Benton-Franklin Council of Governments (BFCOG) has launched a new initiative to help shape the future of transportation in the Tri-Cities.

BFCOG announced in a press release that residents can participate in the Regional Transportation Plan: 2050 Community Survey.

The survey is a significant part of developing the Regional Transportation Plan (RTP), a long-term document that will guide transportation decisions through 2050. This plan will cover all transportation modes, ensuring accessibility and connectivity in the region, BFCOG said.

“This plan is about shaping a connected future for the Tri-Cities, and that starts with hearing directly from our community,” stated Michelle Holt, BFCOG’s Executive Director.

Residents can take the survey online, which takes less than 10 minutes to complete. The deadline for participation is December 30, 2025.
