Suspect arrested after deadly hit-and-run in Pasco

PASCO, Wash. – Lorenzo Ayohua-Ramos, 42, was killed in a hit-and-run while crossing the street on August 29, the Pasco Police Department (PPD) reported.

The incident occurred around 9 p.m., as Ramos crossed the 700 block of West Clark Street. After striking Ramos with their car, the driver fled the scene without making any attempt to help.

According to the PPD, multiple witnesses called 911 and reported the incident, however, Ramos later died at the scene.

On September 2, the suspect driver and their vehicle were found through the collaborative efforts of PPD officers and detectives. The suspect was arrested and booked into the Franklin County Jail, charged with vehicular homicide.
