
BENTON COUNTY, Wash. – Benton County sheriff’s deputies put a smile on a little boy’s face this weekend.
The responded to a report of the boy injured near a skate park and learned that the boy’s bike brakes were malfunctioning, which caused his fall.
Seizing the moment to help, a deputy utilized the Benton County Sheriff Foundation to make a difference.
He made a quick trip to the store and returned with a brand-new bike for the boy, complete with perfectly working brakes.
The gesture not only brightened the boy’s day but also highlighted the deputies’ commitment to community service.
