
KENNEWICK, Wash. – Officers from the Kennewick Police Department (KPD) responded to a weapons disturbance Wednesday morning near the Southridge Sports Complex.
Witnesses reported a man in body armor pointing a firearm at random people, KPD said in a release.
Initially, officers said he did not comply with their commands, but was safely taken into custody.
The man faces several charges, including Assault 2nd Degree, Driving while License Suspended 3rd Degree and Obstructing a Law Enforcement Officer.
