KENNEWICK, Wash. – The City of Kennewick announced significant road improvements will take place this summer, starting July 15.
Several key roadways will receive new pavement, including sections of W. Clearwater Ave., N. Edison St., and W. Quinault Ave., the city said in a release.
Daytime work will begin on Edison St. on July 15 and continue throughout the week.
Night work on Clearwater Ave., Quinault Ave. and various utility locations will start in late July, running from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. and is expected to extend into early August.
Completion of the entire project is anticipated by the end of August 2025.
Construction will involve large equipment and lane closures on weekdays, leading to extended delays during planning and paving. However, access to driveways and side streets will be maintained, with only temporary impacts.
The city said it will provide location-specific updates one day before work begins in each area.
