RICHLAND, Wash. – Starting Monday, July 14, the western section of the parking lot at Columbia Park West will be closed temporarily to support the deconstruction of the Columbia Park Marina, the city said in a release.
A portion of the multi-use trail from the parking lot heading west toward Wye Park will also be closed. Pedestrians and cyclists can use a detour along Columbia Park Trail.
The project is expected to take about two months. Residents are advised to follow posted signs and detour routes during this time.
The removal of the marina is part of a bigger project to protect salmon habitat and other endangered species.
