RICHLAND, Wash. – The City of Richland announced that its 2025 Pavement Preservation Projects will commence on Tuesday, July 8, affecting residential streets in north Richland.
The maintenance, which includes Slurry Seal and Microsurfacing treatments, is expected to last until Thursday, July 17. These treatments are designed to extend the life of the pavement by five to ten years.
Residents should prepare for temporary traffic disruptions. Slurry Seal treatments will cause full-day road closures, while Microsurfacing will result in partial lane closures. “No Parking” signs will be posted in affected areas a few days before work begins.
City contractors, Doolittle Construction, LLC and VSS International, Inc., will provide advance notice to residents. The city urges residents to heed all posted signs and avoid driving, walking, or biking on streets under treatment until they are reopened.
