RICHLAND, Wash. – Richland Parks and Recreation is inviting people to join a community trail walk at WE Johnson Park Monday, June 23, as part of the city’s 52 in ’25 park series.

W.E. Johnson Park, a 236-acre natural open space in Richland, offers a variety of recreational activities and wildlife habitats. The park includes riparian, wetland, and shrub-steppe habitats, making it a prime spot for bird watchers, hikers, equestrians and bikers.

Participants are asked to gather at the WE Johnson Parking Lot along Hall Road at 10:00 a.m. The trail walk will commence at 10:10 a.m.

The walk is expected to last between 45 to 50 minutes. Attendees are advised to come prepared with personal items such as sunblock, bug repellent, and water. Proper clothing and footwear are recommended as the trails are unpaved and may be dusty with uneven surfaces.

The walk’s route and distance will be adjusted based on the group’s size and abilities. This event is open to the public, and anyone interested can join.
