PASCO, Wash. – A 43-year-old driver reportedly crashed into La Palma Market in Pasco Wednesday night, according to Lt. Thomas Groom from the Pasco Police Department.

Groom says police responded to the market, located in the 2100 block of East Lewis Street, at 8:46 p.m. to find that the offending driver had struck another car while backing up, then attempted to escape the parking lot and crashed into the building.

No one was injured in the incident, according to Groom. The crash damaged the glass door and railings of the building.

The causing driver was arrested for driving under the influence and hit-and-run, per Groom.

La Palma Market is still open, however the damaged entrance is closed.
