RICHLAND, Wash. – Richland is known for its beautiful parks, and now there’s an opportunity to learn more about their history through the “52 in ’25” program.

This initiative, led by Richland Parks and Public Facilities Director Chris Waite and their recreation manager Julie Piper, aims to reintroduce the community to the city’s parks.

“52 in ’25” offers visits and tours of over 60 parks and open spaces in Richland.

The program started in January but was delayed until April due to cold weather.

Events include tours and engagement opportunities with city staff. Some tours will feature staff from the library, fire, and police departments.

Today, April 23rd, the program will focus on Claybell Park and Amon Creek Park, starting at 5:00 p.m.

Participants can meet Director Waite and other recreation staff members, along with a police commander and park ranger, at the event.

Look for a teardrop banner that says “52 in ’25.” Attendees can enjoy engagement conversations and a walk through Amon Creek.

The event will also offer campaign stickers and other swag. You can head to Richland Parks and Public Facilities’ website for more information on the “52 in ’25″program.
