Hope and action at Mirror Ministries’ first-ever gala

TRI-CITIES, Wash.- Mirror Ministries is a nonprofit working with local sex trafficking victims and survivors through local education, intervention, restoration and aftercare.

Tricia MacFarlan, Executive Director at Mirror Ministries, said advocates with the nonprofit look for people who might be victimized by trafficking.

“This first quarter of 2025 the advocates have helped find freedom for over 48 people,” said MacFarlan. “That turns out to be one every 48 hours.”

MacFarlan said while that is an incredible number for such a small amount of advocates, they know they’re just hitting the tip of the iceberg.

As a nonprofit, Mirror Ministries relies on donors to expand and grow. That’s why Volunteer Coordinator, Jana Nunez, said Mirror Ministries is hosting its first ever gala Friday, May 2.

The Masquerade Gala will be in the Riverside Ballroom at the Richland Community Center. Doors open at 5p.m. for hors d’oeuvres, sparkling cider and a silent auction. Nunez said you can expect a powerful evening raising awareness and funds with survivor stories.

“We will also be having a recording artist debut a song she actually wrote for Mirror Ministries,” said Nunez.

Guests will be served dinner catered by Cafe Magnolia along with dancing and fun contests, with all proceeds going to Mirror Minstries.

“We are looking to fund this new outreach center that we’re moving into so that we can actually have room for all those people that we’re finding and helping to find that freedom,” said MacFarlan. “Every donation, every ticket purchase, every prayer, everybody coming in to volunteer, brings that hope and freedom to local victims and survivors of sex trafficking.”

You can get your ticket for the Masquerade Gala online or sign up for the silent auction, even if you’re not attending.
