
RICHLAND, Wash – The Richland Parks and Recreation Commission has selected four projects that are eligible for funding under the 2025 Park Partnership Program.
This year, $40,000 from the Park Reserve Fund was allocated for the program to enhance city parks, trails and recreational facilities through matching fund grants.
Eligible projects must enhance or renovate and benefit the public year-round.
During the commission’s March 27 special meeting, these four projects will be recommended to the city council for approval.
Tapteal Greenway – Installation of “scavenger hunt” signs at Chamna Park to encourage exploration of the Chamna Nature Preserve. Request amount: $653.22REACH Foundation – Installation of three new interpretative panels at Leslie Groves Park to enhance education opportunities. Request amount: $8,000Tri-City Kart Club – Installation of additional curbing in selected areas to improve safety of the track. Request amount: $8,000Allied Arts Association – Creation of a sculpture garden with rotating exhibits from local sculptors at the Gallery at the Park. Request amount: $6,906.12.
If all projects are approved, the fiscal impact will be $23,559.34, leaving a balance in the Park Reserve Fund for future projects.
