PASCO, Wash. – The Pasco Public Facilities District Board of Directors unanimously adopted the “Guaranteed Maximum Price” for the new Pasco aquatics facility.

Bouten Construction and NAC designers will complete the facility for a total of $40.4 million.

A “Guaranteed Maximum Price” is when a contractor agrees to complete a project for a price that does not exceed a predetermined maximum cost. The contractor would be responsible for any additional spending if they go over the set cost.

“The unanimous and enthusiastic adoption of the ‘guaranteed maximum price’ is a critical step in the process for delivering the first phase of a year-round aquatics facility to residents of Pasco, citizens of the Tri-Cities, and visitors to our increasingly metropolitan community,” Pasco Public Facilities District Executive Director Matt Watkins said. “And people driving on I-182 near Broadmoor will see dirt being moved and building activity soon. We’re doing everything we can to have the doors open to our new facility by Memorial Day 2026.”

The aquatics facility will be located on the Broadmoor site at what will be Road 108 and Broadmoor.

Pasco voters approved the 0.2% sales tax measure in 2022 to fund, build, and operate this facility in April of 2022.
